Delta Air Lines Inc on Wednesday reported that second-quarter profit jumped 85 percent, topping expectations, but forecast a third-quarter drop in unit revenue as the carrier continued to see weaker demand abroad due to the strong U.S. dollar. The Atlanta-based airline earned $1.49 billion in the last quarter versus $801 million a year ago.

Hyundai Motor Group expects "tepid growth" for global auto sales in the second half of this year because of economic uncertainties and a weak won. Greece's potential exit from the euro, falling interest rates in the U.S., and stagnant economic growth in China are expected for the remainder of the year, Chairman Chung Mong Koo said in an emailed statement.

Renault's Ghosn expects turnaround for brand's stalled passenger cars

Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn expects the French automaker's weak spot -- global passenger -car sales -- to become a strength soon because of a product offensive that includes the all-new Talisman midsize car and Kadjar compact SUV as well as the arrival of the new-generation Megane at the Frankfurt auto show in September. "We are one on the few automakers that did not cut investments or delay products during the crisis, so we are not making compromises of either-or , we are a generalist automaker, so we are adding SUVs, crossovers and sedans," Ghosn said on Monday while unveiling the Talisman, which replaces the Laguna and Latitude model lines.

Danaher Corporation announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, DH Europe Finance S.A. , has priced an offering of: 500 million principal amount of floating rate senior notes due 2017 at an offering price of 100.000% of the principal amount; 600 million principal amount of 1.000% senior notes due 2019 at an offering price of 99.696% of the principal amount; 800 million principal amount of 1.700% senior notes due 2022 at an offering price of 99.651% of the principal amount; and 800 million principal amount of 2.500% senior notes due 2025 at an offering price of 99.878% of the principal amount.

Continental Resources expects early end to jobs incentive plan

Continental is expected to receive about $1.9 million from the Oklahoma City Development Trust in the next two weeks, bringing the total to more than $5 million since the company relocated to Oklahoma City from Enid in 2012. Continental Resources Inc. is on pace to complete its incentive program for moving jobs to Oklahoma City two years ahead of schedule.
