Amarillo water customers will receive in the mail this week a Notice about the violation required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regulations. For an eight hour period between Nov. 24 and 25, 2014, the City's Osage Water Treatment Plant did not record the 15-minute turbidity readings for one of the seven filters that were in service, prompting the Notice required by TCEQ.

Tesla could sell cars in Texas if Legislature passes new bills

Employees at Tesla's gallery at NorthPark Center in Dallas aren't allowed to talk price or take customers for test drives because of dealer franchise laws. Bills filed by Texas lawmakers Thursday, if passed, would allow Tesla Motors Inc. to sell its electric cars directly to consumers.

Would Tesla Motors stumble if it sold its high-end electric cars through franchised dealerships like every other car manufacturer must in Texas? Elon Musk, the company's CEO and a champion of disruptive technologies, seems to think so.
