A vacancy for a Sales Team Leader Land and Special Projects UK Secure Communications has arisen within Airbus Defence Space. This role can either be based in Stevenage, Portsmouth, Hawthorn or Newport. Airbus Defence and Space ADS is looking for an experienced sales team leader to manage and drive growth in its Government Secure Communications business across the UK Land and Special Projects markets including Core MoD, Capability, Front and Joint Force Commands and the User Community. Additional experience in developing business in Government communications and intelligence agencies would also be advantageous. The role of sales team leader will be to run and coach a dedicated team in delivering against existing opportunities and to develop a strategy and qualified pipeline for new business growth across the Land and Special Projects environment in the UK. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate a successful track record in selling within this arena, the ability to mentor and coach a team of strong sales personalities and providing strategy and leadership to deliver. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Reporting directly to the Head of UKUS Sales, main duties will include, but not be restricted to Achieve the teams budgeted target for contracted and new business meeting order intake, sales and gross margin expectations. Provide effective management of sales funnel and business pipeline to close and track new business. Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a team of sales professionals. Develop relationships with customers at senior level. Work closely with other teams and senior management within ADS to meet business, EBIT and revenue objectives. Provide individual targets in order to accomplish revenue objectives. Become ADSs secure comms face to the Land and Special Projects customers in the UK. Attend industry events, speaking engagements, panel participation and attendance at various industry roundtables and conferences. Work with ADS Executive Management on identifying and executing new strategic areas for revenue and EBIT growth. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Demonstrable track record of Managing Sales Professionals in Secure Communications Markets in the UK. A strong grasp of Telecommunications andor Satellite Technology. Proven ability to Manage Sales Pipelines, Plan and Conduct Contract Negotiations and present in a compelling manner. Relevant degree, in the field of Telecommunications, Satellite or business management. Proven Sales Management experience. Ability to build and Maintain Strategic Relationships with key partners and customers. Ability to work in a team and demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively present and articulate to Board level the pipeline and activities specific to generation of business growth. Agence France-Presse: Wall Street banking giant JPMorgan Chase said Monday that it would avoid financing new coal projects in advanced economies due to their contribution to global warming. The bank's official Environmental and Social Policy Framework drew a line against supporting new or "greenfield" coal mines in high income countries, or new coal-fired power plants. The Framework also said it will cut back credit support to coal mining companies over the medium term and only back new coal plants in lower-income countries...
