A new study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says up to 80 percent of all people in the U.S. are not eating the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables. The CDC called on the U.S. to create consumer demand for fruits and vegetables through various means, including competitive pricing and promotion.

MPR: Fertilizing crops in the U.S. Corn Belt emits a potent greenhouse gas, and a new University of Minnesota study shows officials have been underestimating those emissions by as much as 40 percent.
