Associated Press: The state Department of Health says a pipeline has leaked nearly 19,000 gallons of saltwater in northwest North Dakota. The pipeline owned by Continental Resources ruptured after it was struck by equipment excavating at the site about 16 miles north of Tioga. The 450-gallon saltwater, or brine, spill was contained to the excavated area near the pipeline. South Dakota Delegation Urging VA Secretary To Save Hot Springs VA

The South Dakota congressional delegation is continuing to urge Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald to withdraw plans to reconfigure the VA Black Hills Health Care System from President Barack Obama's budget proposal. Benchmark Electronics to close plant in North Dakota

Workers at the Benchmark Electronics plant in Dunseith and area officials say they've been notified by the company that the factory will close by the end of the year. The shutdown will put 140 people out of work in the northern North Dakota town of fewer than 800 residents.
