Athlon Energy Closes Senior Notes

The notes were issued in a private placement and were scheduled to mature May 1, 2022, Athlon Energy said.

A redemption is scheduled for any remaining notes, the company said.

The offer was conditional in the buyback of any 9.5% notes due 2015 in a cash tender offer.

The company expects proceeds of about $591.6 million after certain deductions.

The aggregate principal amount of senior notes was upsized by $150 million, the company said.
