Crews from CSX Transportation Inc. expect to finish installing a new, upgraded Route 11 railroad crossing today, clearing the way for the state Department of Transportation to begin paving near that section of Main Street.

Rail work to close State Route 36

The California Department of Transportation District 2 along with Union Pacific Railroad crews will close a portion of State Route 36 near the former Ford Dealership in Red Bluff, west of Interstate 5. The closure will take place from 8 a.m. Aug. 12 through 8 p.m. Aug. 13. Union Pacific Railroad crews will replace 120 feet of track.
