TASKS Ensuring that, operational aspects from operations concept etc are adequately reflected in the system technical specifications and design. Provide input and support to the customisation of the Packet Utilisation Standard PUS specific to EPSSG and documentation of the results. Provide input and support to the customisation of other satellite related ECSS standards Provide input to the Space to ground ICD and ensure that the system design and operations matches with the satellite data storage and retrieval concepts. Follow up of actions arising from the Space segment that have system impacts. Provide support to general system engineering activities analysis and trade off activities preparation and maintenance of system technical specification. documentation of system design and justification ad hoc internal reviews system level formal reviews. ground segment level activities as required Support IVV activities Mandatory University degree in the domain of engineering, science, or equivalent At least 5 years of experience in the field of engineering of space andor ground systems, in the area of LowEarth Orbiting satellites LEO, including the development of monitoring and control systems for polar satellites. Experience of Satellite Monitoring and Control using ECSS PUS standards services. Capability to prepare system requirements and design documents, and to perform systemlevel analyses for complex polar satellite systems. Fluency in English EU national or valid work permit for Germany CV in Europass format The following experience would be additional assets Familiarity with the CORE design tool from Vitech. As support to the MME upgrade team, the Key person shall work on the ground segment requirements analysis, services definitions, architectural design, requirements implementation and verification of the MME parts of future Ground Segments. The duties range from analysis and design to testing of the MME ArchiveRetrieval and User services systems. The tasks will include Requirements analysis of programme requirements not related to the Ground Segments ITT requirements against the MMEs Generation of services definitions, compliance matrices, design justification, verification planstest cases and procedures and verification control documents Support to Analysis and evolution of current System Design to enhance the Data Access Services so as to meet programmes requirements Definition and maintenance of MME Data Access Services related Interface Control Documents ICDs Preparation of test specifications for Verifying MME Data Access services Support to Ground Segment reviews excluding access to financial data and schedule margins Support to Ground Segment Integration, Verification and Validation IVV tests for the MME Data Access services. PROFILE In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Key person shall have a minimum of five years working experience in the analysis of user requirements, software requirements, scalable software architectures, software development, testing, operations and maintenance of Data Access systems.
