In this large European Agency you will find an excellent and modern working environment with challenging tasks and responsibilities. Your Tasks Include The general responsibilities of the contractor will be in two main areas The contractor will be preparing and monitoring Research and Development activities in the field of Antennas. A diverse range of tasks will have to be carried out by the contractor within the above technical domain, encompassing hardware, software and system aspects. The contractor will provide antenna technical support to Client projects for Earth Observation, Telecommunications and Science. This includes inhouse design and tradeoff studies to support both developments and reviews. Tasks will require the analysis and design of reflector antennas and arrays and the calculation of the interference effects between antennas and the spacecraft structure. The work covers the following technical domains Low gain antennas for TTC systems and other applications Feed systems with multifrequency and high power capability Reflector antennas for communication missions, spaceborne radar and earth observationscience radiometer Array antennas both active and passive for all classes of mission Design software development for all classes of antenna, antennaspacecraft interactions and antenna coupling Quasioptical feed systems for earth observation and astronomy missions Frequency and polarisation sensitive reflector systems Ground antennas both fixed and mobile user terminals and in support to ESOC Initiation and implementation of multidiscipline antenna technology developments. Antenna system architecture optimization w.r.t. mission needs Antenna and payload measurements tests techniques Your Profile The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and experience A university masters degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with major emphasis on Electromagnetics. Experience in the following areas would be highly desirable Reflector antennas Feed systems Low gain antennas Passive and Active Array antenna and associated Beam Forming Networks Spacecraft antenna technology Antenna analysis and optimisation GRASP8, HFSS,. Antenna and payload measurements tests techniques Good communication skills also regarding written reporting Proficient in the English language spoken and written.
