Mostly positioned on satellitebased telecommunications, it diversified since the Luxembourgs accession to the European Space Agency ESA in 2005.Today, the sector covers a wide range of skills both related to space and ground infrastructure or services. In support to the head of space sector and cluster manager, Luxinnovation is recruiting a Project Manager Space Sector mf, full time, ref. Space Missions You will promote the development of the space sector in Luxembourg and achieve actions jointly agreed between the Ministry of the Economy responsible for Space Affairs and Luxinnovation Represent and defend the interests of Luxembourg and stakeholders of the sector in the ESA and the European Commission Inform the actors on the directions taken in the area in Europe and on the different possibilities for financing their projects at national and European level Help the actors achieving their strategic objectives and thus support their development Identify the gaps in the value chains of interest for Luxembourg and attract new players in the field Develop cooperation and partnerships in Europe and internationally Promote the sector nationally and internationally Requirements You hold an Engineering andor PhD degree with at least 5 years of experience in the space industry and a good overall knowledge of space activities. You have to expect several trips in Europe and worldwide, sometimes on short notice and must therefore be flexible. Furthermore, you show following skills and competences Ability to understand different topics in the details and have the ability to synthesize Strong organizational, interpersonal and writing skills Fluency in English and French is mandatory German and Luxembourgish are a plus Interested? Standard Description Issue 1 October 2015 Summary The Web Applications Software Developer for Space Activities will take part of software development projects in an international and multicultural environment for the space sector. This position will be based in Transinne Belgium, but it is possible that travels and missions may happen related to the position activities. Duties As part of the project team, the baseline tasks of the Web Applications Software Developer will be to Write software requirements specifications, Analyse, design and produce technical architecture, Implement software systems according to requirements and architecture design, Test and validate software systems, Maintain and support existing software systems, Perform training for internal and customer needs, Write technical documents and reports at all stages of the software development process. In addition, the Web Applications Software Developer may be asked to provide support to activities which are not directly linked with this job description but which are related to the skills and experience required by this position. The Web Applications Software Developer reports to the Software and Applications Unit Manager for what concerns the linemanagement. The Web Applications Software Developer reports to the Project Manager for what concerns the project he is allocated to. Education and experience BachelorMaster degree in computer science, Solid experience in the technical fields listed in the mandatory computer skills, Professional experience in the Space field is advantageous. Language skills English fluent mandatory, French knowledge advantageous, Customerpartners languageculture is an asset. Computer skills Mandatory Objectoriented analysis with knowledge in UML, Objectoriented programming on Java J2EE, Experience in integrated development environments such as Eclipse or similar, User experience with version control software such as SubversionGITCVS, Experience with relational databases and RDBMS such as MySQLPostgres. Advantageous Objectoriented programming on Python and C, Knowledge on software testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Jacoco, Knowledge on ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or EclipseLink, Knowledge on Vaadin and GWT, Knowledge on JavaScript, Knowledge on OpenLayers Leaflet, Knowledge on MavenIvy, Knowledge on Eclipse Rich Client Platform RCP, Knowledge with message brokers such as ActiveMQRabbitMQ.
