US apparel imports have sharply risen from India and Vietnam in the first half this year, stagnating from Cambodia and Indonesia where unit prices have significantly increased. China has resisted in volume terms, thanks to lower unit prices in most categories of products, reflecting a structural reliance on Chinese suppliers whatever the level of import tariffs.
