CMOS Image Sensors bring versatility to industrial applications.

2014-04-28 14:30:27| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

With respective resolutions of 300 K (VGA), 500 K (SVGA), and 1.3 MP (SXGA), PYTHON 300, 500, and 1300 address general-purpose industrial image sensing applications. These pin-to-pin compatible global shutter image sensors combine flexible configuration with required resolution with speed and sensitivity; read noise is <9 e-, sensitivity is rated at 7.7 V/lux sensitivity, and frame rates reach up to 850 fps. Products also feature configurable sequencer and operate from -40 to +85°C. This story is related to the following:CMOS Sensors |

CMOS Image Sensors feature Bright Mode technology.

2014-01-13 14:29:46| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

With Bright Mode CMOS Image Sensor technology, smartphones and tablet PCs can record Full-HD video at 240 fps. Additionally, Bright Mode realizes quality, slow motion video playback at 1/8 standard speed. Technology doubles exposures time by adopting interlaced video output. It also employs charge binning, which doubles electrical charge of each pixel, resulting in images that are 4x brighter than those from CMOS image sensors without Bright Mode. Sony to launch lenses with built-in image sensors, screenless cameras that can be attached to smartphones

2013-07-19 16:17:41| Extremetech

Not content with reinventing and dominating the mirrorless digital camera market, Sony is preparing to launch a lens with a built-in sensor, power source, and WiFi connectivity -- or, to put it another way, a digital camera without a body or screen. The idea is that you'll mount these lenses to your smartphone, and then a WiFi link will allow your phone to act as a viewfinder and take photos. Alternatively, you or a friend can hold the lens, or you can leave the lens lying somewhere else -- and as long as you're within WiFi range, you can see through the lens and capture photos.
