Designed to eliminate dedicated NTDS (Navy Tactical Data System) adapters and bulky cables for NTDS communication, Virtual NTDS provides emulation of standard Navy Tactical Data System operations. Separate channels for Data and External Interrupts are provided, and aborting conditions, timeouts, and other termination events are supported. With V-NTDS, NTDS Type A device can now communicate with other parallel types (Type B/C/H) or even with NTDS Serial data types (Type D/E).

ACTIVITIES The key person is expected to support mainly two key tasks Java EE Application Development Design, implement, maintain, test and deliver applications for all services based on Java, Java EE, Oracle Database and Oracle Web Center Content Management System following the full application development and maintenance cycle COTS Application Maintenance Specify, customize, integrate and maintain clientserver based COTS systems and document the customization and integration in the EUMETSAT environment e.g. Book Library System, Org Chart System, Image Library System. PROFILE The key person shall have a University degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent. The key person shall have as a prerequisite for Java EE Development Professional experience in the design, implementation, integration and testing of Website and Intranet applications using Java EE 7 and Oracle databases 11g minimum 5 years Professional experience in developing with JSFFacelets, JSP Servlets minimum 3 years Professional experience in developing with JPA Hibernate, TopLink minimum 3 years Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, XML, XSTL Knowledge of Oracle SQL General Tasks Knowledge of Windows Proven experience in formal documentation, preferably in a ISO 9000 certified projectand service environment High degree of autonomy, good personal communication skills oral and writing and strong customeroriented approach to interact with EUMETSAT personnel. The experienceknowledge in the following areas shall be considered a distinct advantage Java EE Development Knowledge of Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Experience in integrating applications in Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Experience in Glassfish 4 administration COTS Application Maintenance Professional experience in integrating and customising COTS systems Microsoft Access Database Maintenance Experience in maintaining Visual Basic for Applications and MS Access applications General Tasks Experience in integrating systems with Web ServicesSOAP, LDAPAD Experience with reporting tools e.g. Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, SAP BI Knowledge of UML and Design Patterns Knowledge of ITIL, in particular with respect to change and configuration management fundamentals and principles The work requires a team player with the ability to work efficiently in a small team environment. The variety of the tasks requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to take your own initiatives.
