Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette and Department of Environmental Quality Director Dan Wyant today issued a statement regarding a reported petroleum pipeline incident resulting from a "pinhole" leak on an Enbridge pipeline in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Enbridge Pipe Line #5 was reported to have a "pinhole" leak on December 8, releasing an undetermined amount of natural gas liquid that was vaporized into the atmosphere.

A company that stores more than 20 million barrels at the Cushing crude oil hub is considering construction of a rail line from the town. The Journal Record newspaper of Oklahoma City reported Tuesday that Enbridge Energy Partners is looking to partner with Savage Services to operate a 120,000-barrel-per-day facility.
