9 must-see tweets from the Mobile World Congress
2013-03-01 16:16:47| Product Reviews by ConsumerSearch.com
Our personal technology editor Molly McLaughlin was one of 72,000 attendees (from over 200 countries!) on the floor in Barcelona this week at the 2013 Mobile World Congress. The premier event in mobile technology, this year's MWC featured more than 1,700 companies exhibiting their latest and greatest in personal electronics. While Molly's Twitter account showcased many of the highlights of the event during the week, the Twitterverse was chock-full of #MWC13 tweets. These are the nine that mobile-conscious consumers must-see: screen_shot_2013-02-26_at_4.24.14_pm.png If you use your smartphone or tablet everyday, you have probably wondered about the future of these mobile devices and the technology powering them. Intel tackled this question at MWC and explained its theories on the topic in this tweet. In their discussion they cover everything from LTE to cell phone prices. screen_shot_2013-02-26_at_4.25.42_pm.png Slashgear tweeted about the latest streaming device from Huawei, the MediaQ M310. Originally unveiled at last month's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, this box top is only 14 mm thick, but packs a powerful punch with its processing system. It is slated to sell for $80. Check out how it compares to its competitors in the Digital Media Player category. screen_shot_2013-02-26_at_4.23.56_pm.png Nokia's CEO Stephen Elop tweeted about the arrival of the latest Nokia phones, including the Nokia 105, which will retail for less than $20. This candy bar phone and its low price point will make mobile more accessible to all consumers; a fact that Elop is thrilled to announced. screen_shot_2013-02-26_at_4.00.22_pm.png A smartphone with two screens? Yep, it does exist. And Aloysius Low, a Senior Editor for CNET Asia, got to spend some time with the quirky device. He tweeted about his experience with the NEC Medias W N-05E. screen_shot_2013-02-25_at_1.17.20_pm.png As the online communications hub for the global mobile industry, Mobile World Live was one of the first to tweet about the new 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Note tablet. But so did Molly. screen_shot_2013-02-25_at_1.15.34_pm.png Drivers (and passengers) can rejoice after reading this tweet from AT&T. The wireless provider is working with General Motors to equip "Connected Cars" with 4G LTE. screen_shot_2013-02-25_at_1.13.53_pm.png Thin is in when it comes to the tablet world and Phandroid tweeted about the 10.1-inch Xperia Tablet Z. At only 6.99mm, its manufacturer, Sony, claims it is the thinnest in the world. screen_shot_2013-02-25_at_1.09.27_pm.png FIrefox introduced its operatiing system for smartphones at MWC and BBC's technology TV show editor Richard Taylor tweeted about his hands-on first look with the new tehnology. screen_shot_2013-02-25_at_1.03.50_pm.png We already have the phablet, but here comes the FonePad.
