A Muslim woman from Tulsa whose legal case against clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to dine with President Barack Obama at the White House in Washington, D.C. Samantha Elauf is one of eight guests to be seated at the President's Table Monday for an Iftar, a breaking of the fast at sunset in observance of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. It is the seventh Iftar hosted by the President, and according to a press release from the White House, this year's dinner has a special focus on young leaders and women.

The railroad says six freight cars derailed in the Cherokee Yard near West 23rd Street and Southwest Boulevard just after midnight. Tulsa Police said a highway bridge over the derailment was closed briefly because one of the derailed cars scraped a bridge support.
Houston-based Apache Corp. to close regional office in Tulsa

Houston-based oil and gas producer Apache Corp. will close its regional office in Tulsa as part of a company-wide restructuring. The Tulsa World reports the company announced its plans Monday to close the office that employs 160 people.
