Walking tour of historic Blairstown celebrates 175 years

As part of the year-long celebration of Blairstown's 175th anniversary, the Blairstown Historic Preservation Society will hold a walking tour of Main Street, walking in the footsteps of John I. Blair, the town's namesake. "We're going to identify the historic buildings on Main Street and talk about the history of each," said Kenneth Bertholf, a member of the society who will lead the tour.

Sprite, a brand of Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co., launched a new video meant to inspire viewers and capture LeBron James' return to his hometown of Akron, Ohio, from a new perspective. Directed by Jason Rosenberg of the Bandito Brothers, the video titled "The First Home Game," features James' on-the-court highlight footage as local fans share their anticipation for his first home-court appearance of the season.

MTA New York City Transit Celebrates 110 Years of Subways

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is celebrating the 110th anniversary of the New York City subway system with two days of opportunities for the public to take the train as generations of customers have done in the past. The first subway line, which connected City Hall with Harlem, opened on Oct. 27, 1904.
