Citytv axes Breakfast Television, lays off 14 people

Citytv is ending its long-running morning show, Breakfast Television , and replacing it with a televised version of radio station 92 CITI FM's morning program. According to a spokesperson for parent company Rogers Communications, the elimination of Breakfast Television will result in 14 layoffs.

Novozymes was in line to receive more than $875,000 in economic development incentives to create 100 new jobs at a new $36 million research and development facility in Cary - but a location complication had the enzyme developer looking elsewhere. Novozymes was approved for up to $400,000 in incentives when it announced in April that it would be bringing 100 jobs to Cary - but an undisclosed "complication" with its chosen site had the company looking elsewhere for a facility.

First it was Clippy -- and now it's clip art: After 20 years as the preeminent way of sprucing up a lackluster Word or PowerPoint document, Microsoft has retired its Clip Art gallery. In its place, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook will simply bring up a Bing Images search window.
