Coordinate the activities of the laboratory including the work of the laboratory team members and ensure a high standard of work and outputs. Provide administrative support to lab activities. Maintain a database of all laboratories tasks, manpower, equipment, etc. Provide inputs on requirements for investments in laboratory equipment, software and computing provisions. Followup on the production of Analysis reports by team members and consistency check for adherence to technical procedure. Carry out Failure Analysis tasks and other analysis tasks as required. Prepare reports on the analysis tasks as required. Support and advice concerning the performance of analysis tasks subcontracted to external laboratories. Provide related technical support on EEE components to ESA projects and other DTEC divisions in the area EEE components and failure investigation. Provide technical input to the formulation, review and maintenance of the technical standards and specifications relating to test methods for component qualification and analysis. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Master degree PhD in Telecommunication or Electrical engineering. In addition to several years of related work experience, the incumbent should have some years of work experience in the field of satellite TTC and PDT systems Knowledge of modern computer systems, programming languages, telecommunication standards particularly in the area of TTC and Telemetry, digital signal processing theory applied to communication systems and simulation tools is required Familiarity with TTC transponders, Payload Data Transmitters for Earth Observation and other spacecraft subsystems technology design and testing is an asset, as is knowledge on TTC spaceflight hardware development Knowledge on satellite telecommunication systems based on optical technology is an asset Knowledge on Authentication and Encryption schemes as applied to TTCPDT systems, in addition to cyber security aspects, is desired Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
