Cotton yarn prices have remained firm in the past weeks in India, due to a new rise of cotton prices. Yarn exports to China have plunged in November, according to latest official data. Our comprehensive review of Indian yarn markets covers the domestic markets in Ludhiana (Punjab) and Indore (Madhya Pradesh), with a wide range of products and counts, including cotton yarns (carded and combed), polyester spun, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose and polyester-acrylic. Export market prices are also available for both cotton and polyester-cotton.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Yarn prices have further dropped in the last two weeks on the domestic market in China, whereas yarn import prices have slightly increased in yuan terms. Yarn imports are therefore declining, as confirmed by latest official trade data which are below published. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Domestic car sales will shrink, imported cars will flourish: research

Reflecting global economic woes, the Korean car market is expected to shrink this year, but with robust sales in the sport utility vehicle sector, a local think tank has suggested. "This year, a total of 1.76 million units of cars are expected to be sold in Korea, which is about 3.1 percent down from 1.82 million in 2015," said Park Hong-jae, chief of the Korea Automotive Research Institute.
