Spireon provides software-as-a-service tools that support more than 2 million connected vehicle subscribers through the company's vehicle finance and fleet telematics solutions, and trailer and asset intelligence GPS offerings. Spireon now has 2.3 million connected vehicles and is the largest original equipment manufacturer-connected vehicle company outside of the car makers, said Shawn Hansen , Spireon's chief marketing officer.

Precision Castparts buys California manufacturer to strengthen aerospace position

The Portland-based manufacturer said Monday it had acquired Composites Horizons LLC from American Industrial Partners. It will pay cash for the company, but did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, which is expected to close in 2016.

California investor buys Avaya office building in Coppell

A California-based real estate investor has bought a Coppell office building that's 100 percent leased to communications provider, California-based Avaya Inc. The two-story, 96,500-square-foot office building at 1111 Freeport Parkway in Coppell has frontage along Interstate 635 and sits on nearly seven acres of land.

California developer Terramar buys three Hawaii shopping centers from Safeway for $156M

California-based Terramar Retail Centers, which last year, acquired the Safeway-anchored Laulani Village shopping center in Ewa Beach for $99.5 million, has purchased three more shopping centers in Hawaii. Terramar Retail Centers, a California-based shopping center owner and developer, has completed the purchase of three retail centers in Hawaii from Safeway's development arm for about $156 million, as part of a bigger $830 million acquisition of centers along the West Coast and Hawaii, according to public records.

Duke Energy buys majority stake in California solar developer

The majority-stake sale to Duke is the first major move by REC Solar since CEO Al Bucknam took over the company in October. Duke Energy Renewables plans to invest $225 million over the next several years in building and operating solar projects for commercial customers after purchasing a majority stake in California solar company.
