Alaska Looks for Answers in Glaciers Summer Flood Surges
2013-07-23 02:53:00| Climate Ark Climate Change & Global Warming Newsfeed
New York Times: The idea that glaciers change at a glacial speed is increasingly false. They are melting and retreating rapidly all over the world. But the unpredictable flood surges at the Mendenhall Glacier, about 14 miles from downtown Juneau, Alaska's capital, are turning a jog into a sprint as global temperatures and climate variability increase. Will you spray fungicide on your corn acres this summer?
2013-07-20 01:32:21| Corn & Soybean Digest
In previous years, many Extension specialists have warned against not spraying fungicide unless disease is present. This year, some Corn Belt plant pathologists are giving the go-ahead to spray acres. Will you spray your corn acres this year? Will you spray for a yield boost? Will you spray to supress or combat disease presence in the field? Or maybe you have no need for fungicides this season. Take the poll and let us know! Leave a comment with your county and state and what you're spraying for if you're going to apply fungicide this season. Yes, I'm spraying fungicide for a yield boost. Yes, I'm spraying because of disease presence/risk. No, I've got no need to spray fungicide this season. Go to result page on submit: 0
