Your Role The responsibilities include but not limited to Maintenance of the Galileo Ground Control Center GCC systems fulfilling the requirements of the system operability and the KPI requirements Monitoring and analysis of the GCC system workload Troubleshooting and technical support during operations or maintenance activities Generation, validation and maintenance of software and hardware procedures regarding maintenance tasks Formally logging maintenance interventions raising and processing tickets in the Galileo ILS tool Cooperate with the next level of maintenance L2, escalating incidents and supporting their resolution. Qualifications and Skills A degree in Information Technology or equivalent or relevant work experience without degree 1 years experience in System Administration, best in an aerospace domain Intermediate expertise in Linux installation, system monitoring, maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting and bash scripting Intermediate understanding of virtualization and networking technologies Good communication skills, ability to work in an international team Willingness to learn new technologies Proficiency in English Further Details Requirements Due to the project requirements, only candidates with nationality of any Member State of the European Union or Norway need apply. Position Reference 969 IN the context of the ITER project, for the Fusion 4 Energy European entity, we are currently looking for System Engineers to work at our clients premises in the city of Barcelona, Spain. The ITER project aims to build a fusion device, twice the size of the largest current devices, with the goal of demonstrating the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. It is a joint project between the European Union, China, India, Japan, South Korea, the Russian Federation and the USA. ITER will be constructed in Europe, at Cadarache in the south of France. The European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy or Fusion for Energy is a type of European organisation known as a Joint Undertaking created under the Euratom Treaty by a decision of the Council of the European Union. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the Systems Engineering Group based in Barcelona, in developing and implementing the Systems Engineering processes across F4E. Act as the interface with Technical Project Officers TPO within F4E Projects Support the development of Tracking and Monitoring Tools for Systems Engineering processes Support in implementing and monitoring the Configuration and Requirements management processes mainly on DOORS Occasionally travel on Cadarache site to support the teams onsite Skills and Experience For Senior profiles, following skills and experience are mandatory Masters degree in Aerospace engineering, Science or IT, with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Experience in one or more of the following Systems Engineering Configuration Management Requirements Management and Verification DOORS database or other Requirements Management and Verification database Developing procedures and policies Project Management methodologies.
