Thales Alenia Space requires an Electrical Systems Architect Payload Systems to participate to the Payload Module architecture definition and will be in charge of the Payload Electrical architecture tradeoffs covering all engineering aspects including data handling and software in conjunction with dedicated engineering specialists.The Electrical Systems Architect will take part in the preliminary payload budgets such as data rate, power, TMTC etc along with interfacing closely with the Mechanical Thermal and Systems Engineer teams. Key Responsibilities and tasks Deliver the Payload Electrical Engineering tasks at TASUK in the frame of the phase B Develop a data handling architecture for the Payload Module that satisfies the requirements including redundancy autonomyFDIR, conducting tradeoffs where necessary and verification planning Provide inputs to TMTC budget, mass budget, thermal budget Define strategy for handling the calibration data base Define lower level requirements for Payload Computer, Software, Harness, etc. Define Payload Module power outlets and pyros needed Carry out initial harness routing and update as appropriate Produce Electrical and Grounding diagram for the Payload Module Critically review inputs from Payload providers and refine the Payload Module design Contribute to TAS development in the UK Experience and Skills Electrical System engineering Experience of digital and power electronics engineering Experience of space PAQA processes would be an asset Experience of software engineering would be an asset Experience with producing relevant documents and presenting at reviews Experience in technical proposal preparation would be an asset Experience of EMC would be an asset Understanding of thermalstructuralmechanical issues Understanding of parts stress, worst case, radiation, reliability and FMECA analyses Experience of working in a multidiscipline team environment Customer, partners, suppliers interface Experience of RD projects, satellites studies Education Qualifications Engineering degree or equivalent
