ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY As the Ground Systems Engineer, you will be a key member of the SES Ground Systems engineering team providing technical knowledge in the areas of gateway infrastructure and baseband systems. Your responsibilities will include implement and provide operations support for groundbased systemsprocesses utilized to enable SES spacecraft deploymentoperations as well as service delivery to SES customers. The SES gateway team works in a dynamic environment and is looking for forward thinking individuals to join the team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Provide technical guidance to a multidiscipline product focused team to ensure timely and accurate project delivery Support the design and specification of the satellite gateway systems, which may be combined with TTC function, including fixed or mobile antennas, HPAs, switch matrix, updownconverters, modulators, TTC Modems, interfacility connection equipment and Monitor Control systems MC Perform or support site surveys for gateway implementation, create related reports and provide site selection recommendations Lead the onsite coordination for the deployment, implementation, and commissioning of the largescale antenna, baseband, and network systems Responsible for the transition of the new gateway systems into operations Perform transmission analysis, link budget calculations, block design drawings and studies in support of business development customer services, and TTC applications Deliver clear, concise, timely and constructive technical guidance and cooperative support to peerscustomers in and outside the company for specific established ground engineering fields COMPETENCIES Problem solving Analytical Team work Selfmotivated Prioritization Verbal and written communication Global cultural awareness Innovation QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Required Minimum 810 years of combined experience andor education in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field Moderate experience working in the field to build, design, develop antenna systems Handson engineering experience in satellite ground systems engineeringproject management and systems installation and testing Handson experience in RF measurement techniques, test and verification of ground stations and auxiliary systems Good communication and presentation skills show a proactive approach towards internal and external customers 25 international and domestic travel Advanced proficiency with English, other languages a plus Preferred Bachelor of Science degree Experience in Project Management or Systems Engineering, or Structural Engineering Proficiency with Python, C, or SQL Proficiency with Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point Proficiency with Matlab, Autocad, or STK Experience with GEO, MEO, or LEO satellite operations SES is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer Apply HERE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Perform system engineering design and analyses in support of the SES Maritime terminal and baseband systems development and implementation Develop and validate maritime terminal implementation, integration, and certification processes Provide technical leadership to subcontractors and vendors developing SES MEOGEO compatible maritime antennas, RF components, baseband, Monitoring Control, and network equipment Develop and support integration and testing methods and procedures for the Maritime Terminals at the component, subsystem, and system levels Provide system engineering leadership in the deployment of Maritime terminals and systems at Customer facilities located worldwide Support the Operations Team as an SME in resolving the most difficult customer troubleshooting efforts per internal escalation procedures from Level 3 to Level 4 Develop forwardlooking architectures and designs that support implementation of evolving SES products utilizing expertise with Intellian products. Perform endtoend test and validation of maritime systems to include Monitor Control, Out of Band functionality COMPETENCIES Demonstrated performance as a reliable team player SelfStarter with a high level of personal accountability High attention to the details Excellent written and oral communication skills QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Required Seniority will be based on experience 810 years of experience and a Bachelors degree, 68 years of experience and a Masters degree, or 46 years of experience and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, or related field a combination of experience and education will be considered Moderate experience developing andor maintaining Maritime SATCOM systems, terminals and satellitebased networking data systems O3b KaBand systems Experience in development and deployment of maritime SATCOM networks InDepth knowledge of Telecommunications Satellite Systems including VSAT systems Complete understanding of GEO, MEO, and LEO telecommunications satellite technologies and systems Experience with Azure 10 domestic and internal travel Preferred Proficience with Juniper or Cisco certifications and experience e.g. JNCIS JNCIP JNCIE CCNP CCIE Working knowledge of internetbased network connectivity principles and implementation Experience in development of monitoring and control systems using Kratos Compass or other Network Management Systems WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
