It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for an Electrical Manufacturing Process Owner has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Project Preparation Phase Supporting to the customisation phase starting at the project kick off. Attending project DMU sessions to ensure design for manufacture specific to process. Creating the documentation required for the production phases, including Work Masters, work instructions, and procedures and specifications. Reviewing and approving all unplanned work relevant to their process. Deviation Plans and As Runs specific to process before execution. Providing feedback to author and ensuring all resources materials, tooling, requirements and methodology are defined. Ensuring that specific product requirements, taken from the Packing, Handling and Transport Specification, are captured and included in work masters, work instructions and procedures. Technical Input to project product to ensure that new process and test methods are optimised, for AIT activities including production process time definition. Design for Manufacture Assembly Design for Test. Preparing inputs to MRR to support Product Lead Engineer. Project Operational Phase Technical liaison with all concerned stakeholders for process issues, i.e. lead investigations, occurrences resolution and operational support. Supporting quality reviews and Root Cause Analysis using lean tools Producing rework instructions deviation plans based on project requirements and identify parts and tooling required to carry them out. materials, tooling, requirements and methodology Non Project Definition requirements specification and Design of tooling build aids for manufacturing execution Supporting to RD as required for process developments ensuring optimised production process is established. Training module creation and maintenance. Responsibility for ensuring that our working modes and processes are standardised, optimised, and current. Producing new processes, undertake process improvement and maintenance and monitor process implementation in operations, including process measurement and times. Bullet points to be used. This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Minimum of HNC level in a Manufacturing discipline. A lesser qualification is acceptable if a high level of similar industry experience can be demonstrated. Good understanding and detailed experience of all types of manufacturing systems. Including but not limited to Lean manufacturing techniques, support to production, machining, assembly and detail fitting processes is mandatory for this position. Experience in Lean Engineering would be a strong asset. Experience in writing engineering documents, Procedures and Process control is required. Experience in Mechanical design, validation and in FMEA would be an asset. Experience within cleanroom andor in aerospace industry would be a plus. Knowledge of Health and Safety principles and their application to the specific environment is also a plus. Fluency in English is mandatory.
