Keurig Green Mountain has broadened its agreement with Caribou Coffee to sell Caribou's roasts in packets compatible with Keurig's new brewer, part of the K-Cup purveyor's efforts to get more brands aboard the new machine since its patent on its old cups expired in 2012. 's acquisition last week of Laughing Man Coffee & Tea and a licensing agreement disclosed earlier last week with Community Coffee.

Caribou's coffee will likely be available for the new machine in spring '15. Keurig's 10-year agreement is 1 of a handful of company deals this year to license other brands' drinks for use on the new machine - moves intended to secure business after a '12 K-Cup patent expiration led other companies to make their own cups.
