The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the IEE have implemented standards to resolve timing issues associated with increased global mobile data traffic. Carrier Ethernet based networks needed to be established in order to compensate for the increase in traffic, and while this type of network provides better streaming and increased bandwidth, it is asynchronous packet based and can cause timing issues. The XO5x84-1588-R Series OCXO (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator) has been specifically designed to help with this issue.
