Canadian Natural Resources triples Q4 profit to $1.2 billion

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. almost tripled its profit in the fourth quarter and said it was raising its dividend as the oil and natural gas producer ramped up production in the face of falling oil prices. The Calgary company said net income in the three months ended Dec. 31 soared to just under $1.2 billion or $1.09 per diluted share from $413 million or 38 cents in the same 2013 quarter.
