Feds query Wyoming regulators about coal-mine bond decisions

Federal regulators are telling Wyoming to provide more justification for allowing less than full bonding for some of the state's huge coal mines. The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement wrote the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality on Thursday seeking more information about decisions involving four open-pit mines owned by Arch Coal and Alpha Natural Resources.
