2015-05-16 09:25:06| Waste Management - Topix.net
NEPA Revised Draft Guidance on Consideration of GHG Emissions: Version 2.0 - Proposal Requires Federal Agencies to Assess GHG and Climate Change Impacts and Encourages Substantive GHG Reductions Under the National Environmental Policy Act NEPA's Revised Draft Guidance could require a significant level of additional analysis, including analysis of "upstream" and "downstream" impacts as well as a cost-benefit analysis in certain circumstances. Annual EPA U.S. GHG Inventory shows slight increase from 2012.
2015-04-23 14:31:11| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
U.S. EPA released its 20th Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks, which shows 2% increase in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in 2013 from 2012 levels and 9% drop since 2005. By sector and magnitude, largest contributors to total U.S. GHG pollution were power plants (31%), transportation sector (27%), and industry and manufacturing (21%). Increase was due to greater energy consumption across all sectors in U.S. economy and greater use of coal for electricity generation.
