Southwest Airlines launches fall fare sale The airline is offering one-way flights for $49, $99, $129 and $149 depending on travel distance. Check out this story on wtsp.com: http://on.wtsp.com/1M2nbzH The rates are the same the airline offered a year ago but significantly higher than Southwest's first sale of this kind during the recession in 2009, when one-way fares were $30, $60 and $90 one way.

Sale of PT Portugal's stake to Altice becomes effective

(Telecompaper) Brazilian operator Oi has announced that the sale by Oi of all shares issued by PT Portugal to Altice Portugal became effective on 02 June. Altice Portugal disbursed the total amount of EUR 5.789 billion for the acquisition of PT Portugal, of which EUR 4.920 billion were paid in cash to Oi and EUR 869 million were allocated to immediately repay outstanding indebtedness of PT Portugal in euros. The final purchase price is subject to post-closing adjustments to be calculated within the next months as a result of changes in the cash, indebtedness and working capital positions on the closing date. French telecom holding company Altice said had now closed the EUR 7.4 billion acquisition of Portugal Telecom's assets in Portugal.

Pioneer Natural Resources announces $2.15B midstream sale

Irving-based Pioneer owned 50.1 percent of the South Texas midstream while Reliance Holding USA, Inc. owned the remainder. Both entities agreed to sell the pipeline and will benefit from reduced fees when they use the pipes to haul crude oil.
