Lufthansa sees boost from low fuel costs

Deutsche Lufthansa AG said Thursday that despite expected lower passenger yields, its operating results should get a boost this year from lower fuel costs and the German airline's cost-cutting program. As a result, Lufthansa said it now sees adjusted earnings before interest and taxes of over EUR1.5 billion in 2015, up from EUR1.2 billion in 2014.

The solar plane began its historic flight in Abu Dhabi on Monday and landed early Tuesday at Muscat, Oman. The second leg took 15 hours, with the Solar Impulse 2 arriving late Tuesday night in Ahmedabad.
