Reliance, Ericsson ink pan-India managed services deal

(Telecompaper) Indian operator Reliance Communications (RCom) has signed a 7-year managed services agreement with Ericsson, to operate and manage its wireline and wireless networks across India. Ericsson will also be in charge of the field maintenance, network operations and operational planning of RCom's 2G, CDMA and 3G mobile networks.This is the first pan-Indian managed services deal for Ericsson.

Vodafone Group, Afrimax ink partnership deal for Africa

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Group and African telecom operator Afrimax Group have announced a non-equity framework agreement to cooperate and explore opportunities for partner market deals in sub-Saharan Africa. Vodafone has announced a partner market agreement in Uganda with Afrimax under which the two companies will offer voice and data products and services using the Vodafone Uganda brand. Vodafone's multinational corporate customers will benefit from the addition of Uganda to their existing contracts for international managed services.
