Yarn prices have continued to fall in China ahead of new year holidays. With demand for foreign yarns collapsing over higher import prices in yuan terms, the domestic spinners could enjoy better prices and margins after Chinese new year. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. Historical data are available for download.

China's car sales in 2015 reached a new high but growth slowed further, as a cooling domestic economy took a toll on demand in the world's largest auto market.
