Reuters: Greenpeace East Asia said on Wednesday that China had a total of 210 coal power projects in the pipeline"for environmental assessment permitting at the end of 2015, despite overcapacity in the industry and pollution concerns. Of those, 95 projects received final regulatory permits that would allow construction to begin, Greenpeace said in a report. China Southern Airlines gets new chairman after corruption scandals

A new chairman has filled the vacancy at Asia's largest airline company by fleet size, China Southern Airlines Group, in a sign that the sector's biggest corruption probe may be over. Wang Changshun, a vice-minister in the Ministry of Transport, was appointed China Southern's chairman and deputy Communist Party secretary on Monday, the company said in a notice on its website on Wednesday, four months after former chairman Si Xianmin was taken away for investigation.
