However, performance has suffered in the years following founder John Halewood's death. Microsoft UK appoints Cindy Rose as CEO

(Telecompaper) Microsoft has announced the appointment of Cindy Rose as CEO of Microsoft UK. She joins Microsoft from Vodafone UK, where she was Managing Director of the Consumer Division. Rose will join the company on 01 July, and will take over the leadership from Michel Van der Bel on 01 November. Van der Bel will move into a new role to be announced at a future date. Rose will be responsible for all of Microsoft's product, service and support offerings across the UK.
