Air New Zealand's $100m do-up

Air New Zealand is ripping the interiors out of eight of its widebody Boeing 777-200s and refitting them with new seats, new cabin furniture and the very latest inflight entertainment systems. The work, which will cost around $100 million, is aimed at bringing the older planes up to the standard of newer ones and has given more than 100 engineers who faced being laid off work for up to 18 months.

Air Canada doesn't have to pay Ottawa couple over language spats

An Ottawa couple who complained after not being served in French on Air Canada flights are not entitled to financial compensation from the airline, the Supreme Court ruled Tuesday. The Federal Court originally said Lynda and Michel Thibodeau should receive $12,000 but that ruling was overturned by the Federal Court of Appeal.

AutoNation halts sales of cars in air bag recalls

The nation's biggest car dealership chain says it won't sell used cars being recalled for exploding air bags due to conflicting advice from automakers and lack of direction from the government. Ten automakers have recalled more than 12 million cars with air bags made by parts supplier Takata.

Wall Street is optimistic about Air Products & Chemicals , which is slated to report its fourth quarter results on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Analysts project a profit of $1.62 a share, a rise from $1.47 per share a year ago.
