Canada's oil industry faces a year of "tough slugging," including the deferment of many projects, as oil prices collapse to as little as US$30 a barrel then likely stabilize around US$70 to US$75 a barrel, oil entrepreneur Murray Edwards predicted Friday. Because of its high costs, the Canadian sector will be impacted more than many oil-producing jurisdictions around the world by OPEC's decision Thursday to not cut oil production, said Mr. Edwards, the chairman of Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. and one of Canada's single biggest oil investors.

Range Resources sued over Pennsylvania drilling

A couple who say their water was contaminated by natural gas drilling and leaks from a drilling wastewater pond near their property have sued oil and gas company Range Resources. The lawsuit by Christopher and Janet Lauff, of McDonald, contends they had to forgo well water and connect to a public water line, for which they've not been compensated by Range Resources Corp. The Fort Worth, Texas-based drilling firm was still evaluating the lawsuit but had "not seen any evidence of health or environmental impacts," its spokesman Matt Pitzarella said.

Dominion says the West Antelope Solar Park is located in Los Angeles County. The company says the project has a 20-year power purchase agreement and an interconnection agreement.
