PORT LOUIS (Reuters) - Mauritius sugar producer Alteo's pretax profit rose 16.7 percent to 1.041 billion rupees ($31.35 million) boosted by a one-off disposal of a stake it held in a hotel company, it said on Thursday.

SAIL profit rises 9%

New Delhi, Feb. 13: SAIL's third-quarter net profit rose 9 per cent to Rs 579 crore from Rs 532.6 crore a year ago. Factors such as enhanced production, better techno-economic parameters along with a reduction in input costs, particularly of imported coking coal, boosted the profit figures.
