Instead of worsening, the cracks became smaller, then closed on their own as the edges fused together. After assuring themselves the effect was real, the next step was figuring out how it happens.

If the tumultous growing season wasn't enough stress on farmers and crops, corn rootworms reared their ugly heads this year, causing damage across the Corn Belt. The kicker is that this year there were reports of damaged Bt corn, ultimately showing resistance on the part of the rootworm. We'd like to know: Which corn did rootworms attack on your farm?
