ISO has submitted updated proposal for new field of activity on consumer warrantees and guarantees. Work item proposal notes that the standard is intended for use by producers or sellers of goods and services to offer best practices and requirements for effective warranties and guarantees when these are provided with their goods and services. Proposal has been updated to reflect content related to other countries and online shopping. Comments are due by end of business day Dec 4, 2015.

ANSI requests stakeholder comments on Standardization Administration of China (SAC) draft guidance document, "Association Standardization-Part 1: Guidelines for Good Practice." ANSI Essential Requirements and accreditation of U.S.-based standards developing organizations will be used as basis for feedback, and comments should be given by November 18. ANSI also encourages members to submit comments through their own organizations or to ANSI for information instead of inclusion.

As part of its efforts to provide practical solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges, National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence is requesting comments on a draft guidance to help organizations better control who has access to their information systems. Draft practice guide outlines potential security risks, benefits that may result from implementation of an attribute based access control system, and approach that NCCoE and its partners took using commercially available technologies.
