(Telecompaper) Altice Europe has confirmed that its fully owned subsidiary in Israel, Hot has submitted an offer for 100 percent of Partner Communications. Hot already works with Partner on mobile roaming and a takeover would help it achieve a nationwide mobile network. Partner meanwhile would be able to build up its fixed business with access to Hot's cable network.

(Telecompaper) In its latest attempt to secure a green light for its takeover of pay-TV provider Sky, 21st Century Fox has filed a new set of remedies to the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), giving two separate possibilities. The company has offered stronger measures to address media plurality concerns about it owning Sky News, and said that otherwise, Disney could buy the news channel. Fox has a 39 percent stake in Sky and is looking to get the remaining 61 percent.
Omantel offers to buy another 12% of Zain from investment group

(Telecompaper) Omantel is seeking to increase its stake in Zain Group, worth around KWD 290 million, two months after purchasing a minority share in it, The National reported, citing a bourse statement. Omantel signed a non-binding letter of intent on 08 October to buy a 12.17 percent stake in Zain from Kuwait-based Al Khair National, a Kharafi Group company.
