RHEA is currently recruiting an EGSE Electrical AIT Engineer to support the Solar Orbiter mission at our clients premises in Stevenage, UK. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Work from requirement specifications and interpret them to produce test specifications, procedures and test scripts Performance of electrical integration and automated test of electronic units and systems. Manipulate the EGSE SCOE in order to prepare fully automated test scripts to control the test, the IUT and the test environment. Definition of electrical test aids and overseeing their procurement, manufacture and validation. EGSE commissioning, validation and maintenance activities. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification Minimum of 5 years of experience in satellite electrical AIT at platform level including application software Extensive experience working from requirement specifications and interpret them to produce test specifications, procedures and test scripts Strong knowledge of automated test environment and able to manipulate EGSE SCOE in order to prepare fully automated test scripts Fluency in English. Electrical Ground Support System EGSE Technician Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is an independent Danish company recognized in satellite test systems, software, independent software verification and validation activities, onsite engineering support and power electronics. Their software systems have been utilized for onboard, checkout, ground station, simulation and in many other critical space related domains As part of the project teams, you will have the following responsibilities Responsible for bringup, unit tests, integration testing and assembly Provide technical assistance to the Research Development team. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or relevant education Solid practical handson hardware experience with electronics, including bringup, assembly and test Ability to thoroughly document your work Fluency in English is mandatory. The EGSE comprises as main parts Power EGSE, AOCS EGSE, TTR EGSE, CCS EGSE, as well as project specific EGSE. Your Tasks Evaluation of requirements for the EGSE in cooperation with system engineering. Design and definition of EGSE Establishment of a validation plan DDVPlan Report to the customer within milestone reviews Support the procurement process, mainly for technical issues Preparation of specifications Participation in reviews with the suppliers Involvement in the acceptance process Planning and execution of system acceptance and system integration Training of AIT personnel for EGSE usage Your Qualifications A degree in electrical engineering, aerospace technology, physics or comparable qualification At least some years of experience in satellite AIT or EGSE use Knowledge of ECSS standards for testing and verification of software and hardware Knowledge about Spacecraft Central Checkout Systems CCS, preferably running under SCOS 2000 Version 3.1 TOPE, are an asset Experience in EGSE validation High motivation and commitment to the project Used to tough project targets and challenges Welldeveloped communication skills and handson mentality Excellent conceptual and analytical skills Fluency in spoken and written English
