Position Reference 019 You will have the opportunity to be part of the Galileo System and service support, by assessing the performance of PRS service and coordinating the PRS validation activities. You will also take a major part in the definition of the PRS validation plan and relevant test plans, to define the test cases and test procedures to be executed and to prepare the test reports. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the definition and the evolution of the PRS Service KPIs and the Service level targets for specific deployment stages corresponding to the service milestones Support the definition of the evolution of the PRS Service Definition document Evaluate the PRS service performance considering the impacts of operations and derive the necessary modifications to the OSRDOSRDx e.g. impact of operations on the continuity of service Support GSA to analyze and assess the reports provided by GSOp, in particular for what concerns PRS performance monitoring if available Support Exploitation Reviews by analyzing the PRS Performance evolution between consecutive periods provided by ESAWO and complementing the conclusions with the input coming from the System Operator and from GRC Ensure verification of the PRS service requirements progressively through the different service milestones complementing verification evidence provided by core infrastructure, operations and service facilities with verification evidence coming from service validation activity Produce the inputs related to the service facilities and operations to the aggregated VCD to MRD limited to PRS service Produce and maintain the PRS validation plan Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the PRS service implementation plans Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the System deployment and verification plans Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the Service Facilities deployment and verification plans Define the PRS service validation strategy Define the PRS service validation boundaries Define and plan the PRS validation test campaigns Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent qualification in either physics, mathematics, electric or electronic engineering, aerospace engineering or telecommunications engineering, geodesy Knowledge of Mission Requirement Documents MRD Experience with PRS Requirement document Experience with PRS Service Definition document Experience with PRS Service Implementation plans Knowledge of the Galileo System architecture, performance, signal and in general of GNSS GPS, Glonass, EGNOS Former professional involvement in major Space Projects andor GNSS related services Knowledge of the design and requirements definition process for space systems Management of external and internal System interfaces Valid Security clearance by their national security administration where relevant How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level? You will understand the industry standards required, evolving our Requirements Management and Verification tool ecosystem to reflect the needs of our users. Key to this role is driving forward new evolutions of our processes and sharing these across the organisation. You will also support the analysis, management and verification of Requirements at various levels, from satellite system via ground system to facilities. With proven experience of theoretical and operational Requirements and Verification Engineering, you should be adept at using and customising RM tools, preferably IBM Rational DOORS. Model based Systems Engineering experience would be desirable along with recognised certification or accreditation in this field of engineering. This is a role where you need to collaborate with others, so you will need to be a team player, with the ability to plan, analyse and present technical information clearly. Come and lead the verification engineering activities for our planned Meteosat Third Generation MTG satellites. The Role This is an outstanding opportunity to become involved in one of our most exciting and important future missions. In this role you will manage the Verification Engineering Team, leading and coordinating all the verification engineering activities for our next generation of satellites. You need to be a team player as you will work in close partnership with the Instrument Functional Chain Teams, the Operations Preparation team and the ground segment and system development teams. You will lead and coordinate the preparation of the system integration and verification plan, generating test specifications and ensuring that test tools and data are available and ready for use. You will assure the test processes are in line with the specifications and review test results with the relevant experts. Key to this role is maintaining control of the verification records. You will have substantial experience in system integration and verification of end to end Earth observation satellite systems, ideally with exposure to test preparation, execution and the use of simulators to generate test data. You need to be aware of industry standards, with the capacity to understand complex issues in a developmental environment. You will need to be able to communicate effectively. You can manage technical concepts and need to ensure that these are presented simply in formal documents and verbal presentations.
