Capability to prepare system requirements and design documents, and to perform systemlevel analyses for complex satellitebased systems. Experience in writing technical requirements. Experience in interface management and familiarity with mechanisms and tools for detailed interface definition. Capability to prepare and maintain ICDs Interface Control Documents. Knowledge of space and ground system engineering processes, and system and software lifecycles and standards. Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS. High degree of working autonomy. Problem solving and good analytical skills. High degree of interpersonal awareness. Experience in working as part of a multicultural team. Ability to perform regular e.g. weekly, context switch. Practical knowledge in servicebased approach for defining services specifications e.g. ITIL. Experience in one or more of the following activities Integration, Verification and Validation IVV of complex systems. Testing coordination and execution and verification activities. Data distribution and dissemination. Ground Segment Monitoring. Archive systems. Computer systems, Network systems and IT Security. The following skills would be highly desirable Practical knowledge in toolbased requirements management e.g. IBM DOORs. The Instrument Functional Chain Team IFCT activities are fully embedded in the EPSSG System Team and follow the same life cycle. An Instrument Functional Chain has been established for each instrument onboard of the MetopSG platforms mainly composed by Platform, Instruments, Operational Processors and CalVal facility. The main objective of IFCT activities is the management of endtoend aspects of the Instrument Functional Chains to ensure that the level 1 and level 2 products generated by the EPSSG System meet the user needs. To cover the endtoend aspects of an Instrument Chains an interdisciplinary expertise is needed which can only be provided by a group of people with knowledge in different areas. The IFCT is responsible to follow up the development, verification and validation of the Instrument Functional Chains from phase B up to phase E1 that includes the System InOrbit Validation SIOV and commissioning activities. Specifically the Phase D from System CDR to Launch involves several key activities leading up to the System Integration, Verification and Validation Review SIVVR, which is itself an input to the Launch and Operations Readiness Review LORR.
