The GSA is supporting the European Commission in the area of SBAS international development for EGNOS. In that context, the Commission has delegated to the GSA the undertaking of a study for the extension of EGNOS services to Africa with the future generation of the system EGNOS V3, based on the augmentation of Galileo and GPS. This study shall provide an impact assessment impact which could be positive or negative, the estimated cost, schedule and development plan of such extension. This position is based in Toulouse, France. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Make a synthesis of all available inputs related to EGNOS V3 extension over Africa extracted for instance from EC related projects, EGNOS V3 phase B outcomes Liaise with the EGNOS in Africa Joint Program Office JPO which is expected to support the study Support Programme requirements definition by elaborating Missionlevel analyses for extending the EGNOS V3 coverage from Europeonly to Europe and Africa in collaboration with JPO and GSA service engineering team Contribute to the identification of suitable RIMS hosting sites in Africa, in consultation with the JPO and the GSA site team Support Safety and Security assessments in coordination with GSA Officers Followup of the implementation of EGNOS V3 extension to Africa in line with the programme roadmap developed by GSA in the frame of the study. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, physics or Computer science with proven knowledge and experience in the fields of Algorithms, Navigation and related data. Extensive experience with the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service EGNOS You have a demonstrated knowledge and experience in EGNOS standards e.g. MOPSSARPS You are autonomous in writing technical notes, specifications and reports in English Good familiarity with the GNSS services and applications You have good inter personal skills and team spirit You have previous working experience in a multinational environment Strong experience working with the international institution such as European Commission andor the European GNSS Agency andor the European Space Agency, etc The following skills would be highly desirable Experience on EGNOS V.3 How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
