Based on TI's AM437x 1 GHz single Cortex-A9 processor and four 200 MHz programmable real-time units, Model VAR-SOM-AM43 is equipped with up to 1 GB DDR3, 512 MB SLC NAND, and 32 GB eMMC. PRUs offload real-time processing from main Cortex-A9 CPU, managing deterministic tasks and supporting dedicated industrial protocols such as Ethercat, Profibus, and EnDat.
