Communication Officer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of ESAs Outreach Communication team you will be responsible for the Country Desk Ireland UK events and communication activities. Your responsibilities will be Initiate, perform and report on activities for the Country Desk Ireland UK covering the following areas Event organisation Media relations Audiovisual production Web publishing from drafting to publication and Relations with Irish UK space institutions and other partners Manage projects and events in UK or Ireland partnerships, exhibitions, education events, etc. including Content development, particularly for educational shows Relations with internal and external partners Planning and budgetary aspects, reporting on results Support specific UK or TIA communication projects, for example Manage projects within an astronauts communication campaign Support TIA projects based at ESTEC e.g. Open Day Maintain media relations database Follow up the administrative and financial processes of the Communication Office, including the update of ESAp. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Qualification at Master, MBA or equivalent level in Communications or a related field Several years professional experience in Communications Public Relations, preferably in an international working environment Experience in communication activities and a good sense of organization Project management and negotiation skills Knowledge of social media Good understanding of ESA Programmes and related activities A developed sense for initiative, autonomy Excellent command of English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
