Berenberg semiconductor equipment analyst Tammy Qiu today starts coverage of equipment maker Lam Research with a Buy rating, and KLA-Tencor with a Hold, writing that spending on equipment is set for an uptick in the first half of next year, but then spending may turn downward later in the year and into 2016. Shares of Lam are up 59 cents, or 0.7%, at $82.78, while shares of KLA are up $1.87, or 2.8%, at $69.21.
